When you live in Wellington, you do become very well acquainted with the frolicsome wind. At times the gusty and blustery wind can be downright annoying. However the best thing to do if the wind really grinds your gears is to learn to embrace it! Put that pesky wind to some good use! Whirlwind's fantastic wind sculptures help make that Wellington wind entertain you, instead of enrage you! If you have scolded the wind for ripping out your petunias one too many times, perhaps a wind sculpture is for you?
Personally my house is slightly sheltered from the wind. While peaceful, we don't get a lot of sun. It is a bit of a trade off.
The real pickle is that we don't know it is windy until we have all left the house without coats. If I had one of these cute pukekos perched on our letter box we could check from the bedroom window to see just how windy it is out there. Genius.
