The Madisons know that your life does not end when you reach your thirties and have a family. That's just the beginning! The Madisons know what it's like to still feel like a teenager, muddling along in an adult world, pretending you know what you're doing.
The Madisons know about pressure. Pressure to be thin, pretty, groomed, The pressure to be nice, happy and well behaved. The pressure to have it all; the clean house, the kids, the career. But what about the rest? The stuff you really want that hides deep in the embers of your soul?
So you want to drink champagne out of china tea cups and dance to loud music? So you want to have cheesecake for breakfast and wear bright pink lipstick? So you want to skip the chores and instead take a yoga class and read a good book? Well guess what? You are allowed. Just because you're a grown up it doesn't mean you can't have fun. It doesn't mean you can't make time for yourself. Time to play.
The Madisons like writing. They like reading books whilst lying on the grass on a summer's day. They like sunshine on their skin and wind in their hair. They like taking walks in nature and smelling the sweet salty air at the seaside. They like laughing. They like stomping in puddles and blowing dandelions into the breeze. The Madisons like drinking tea with good friends who care - The best kind. The Madisons like makiing. They like creating something wonderful out of nothing; because they have to. They have to paint and draw and photograph and write. It's just who they are. The Madisons aren't perfect. They make mistakes. They dance through life imperfectly, laughing as they go.
We are the Madisons.
Are you a Madison too?
