—Anne Frank, The Diary of Anne Frank
Can't we all just be a little kinder - just a little.
Everything becomes a little bit easier when met with kindness - it really does.
Like today, I emailed my bestie and said I couldn't do something I was supposed to do, that I was tired and stressed.
And do you know what she did? She didn't get grumpy or berate me for not holding to my obligations. She said:
"All good hun. Go and take a bath and get a massage. Not long until the end of the year."
I can't even say how much it meant to me. I breathed a huge sigh of relief. I booked a massage. I went home and went to sleep instead of doing what I was meant to be doing. That little bit of kindness saved me tears, tantrums and…… I can't think of anything else that starts with 't'. But I'm grateful.
My favourite book as a child (call me weird if you want) was The Diary of Anne Frank. She was kind. She coped in a situation with many people in a small space and she was only little.
You don't have to be in the most ideal situation to be kind. You can just do it. My aim for this Christmas is to be a little kinder. You never know. It might make a difference in someone's life. It might even make such a difference that they write an article about it! Thanks Lisette! Love you long time!
