After talking to some people at the end, it seems you can have quite different experiences. You might get put into some rooms and not into others, you might get a hood put over your head, you might not. You might get locked in a cupboard, you might not. The lesson being - embrace the horror and you'll have more fun. My husband and brother ended up getting out of the maze a full ten minutes before me because they were not as embracing as myself. Four of those minutes, they could hear me coming through the maze from my screams.
The best bits: the chainsaw guy, making friends with complete strangers, the zombies actually acting like they were eating you and the clown masks - so scary. Totally recommend this event for anyone who didn't make it this year. I will be going every year from now on. The tickets were only fifteen bucks each if you went with a group of four or more. So, so, so cool.
