It was a busy week - with shows, seminars, dinners and retail events all packed into the five days of fashionable fun. There was a great range of events on offer to cater for all tastes. The best part of all was that they were all affordable and accessable to everyone. Finally a fashion event aimed at the public - not just the Anna Wintours of the world!
There were amazing new styles on offer for the coming seasons. All of which were definitely rocking this black and white concept we've seen in the northern hemisphere summer collections already. I'm not sure I'm sold on this trend personally. We kinda saw it coming didn't we? We did fluros. We got lucky with some bright candy colours last year. Now I guess the old B&W is in for a bit. Personally, it isn't gonna fly with me. White? Hell no. Christ it would be dirty in 2 seconds and I'd be paying far too much for napisan! Black? Sure sometimes. But you know what? I spent far too long in black as a gothic teenager. These days I am a self confessed colour junky. I like to wear as many different colours as possible, all of which are bright. Even a little clashy. While I can respect the long white flowy maxi dress by STORM (one of my faves) I just don't see myself wearing it. Though, I can appreciate it. And it did look amazing on the model!
And check out this simple but gorgeous hair style! (below) All the models were sporting the look. It worked best on the gals with long pin straight hair that was mostly all one length. Love it!
